Mentor Plus scheme costs
The Mentor Plus scheme will be financed by the Virtual Staff College as part of its commitment to supporting the development of system leadership. The services of the mentor will therefore be free to the mentee. We will review this in line with College policy and at a point in the future we may request a contribution from individual local authorities towards the scheme.
Mentors or their employer will be reimbursed for their time and expenses incurred through their participation in the scheme. Further details of the financial arrangements will be provided to mentors by the mentor co-ordinator prior to their first mentoring commission.
Travel
The Virtual Staff College will reimburse mentor’s travel costs that are within agreed parameters. Mentees need to fund their own travel costs.
Accommodation and subsistence
The Virtual Staff College will reimburse mentor’s subsistence and accommodation as agreed within the scheme. Mentees need to meet their own travel costs.
Other costs
The College also funds other programme related costs.
