Following the transition of the DCS Leadership Provision from the National College to the Virtual Staff College a significant element of the information contained in these pages will need reviewing. Consequently, individual pieces of content may not necessarily represent the current position and individual links may be temporarily disabled. We hope to have the Succession Planning section of the website fully functioning by December 1st 2011.

Virtual Staff College initiatives

The VSC plays a key role in a range of initiatives that focus on addressing leadership challenges and opportunities. These might relate to the development of leadership in particular contexts or regions, or to significant issues that impact on leadership for children on a national scale. Many of these initiatives involve harnessing the talent and expertise of leaders themselves – to support others who may be struggling, to develop approaches relevant to their local context, and to test and refine new ways of building leadership for today and the future.
